There have been recent changes in the Australian Dental Council's (ADC) competency document. These new competencies have come into effect as of July 2023. This document is relevant to both Australian dental students when they graduate, and also overseas dentists as it serves as a point of reference for the ADC exams.
In this revised competency document, the ADC outlines the skills and knowledge expected of newly graduated dentists. This revision reflects the evolving needs of the dental profession and the communities they serve. Key changes in the document include a greater emphasis on Health Promotion, Scientific and Clinical Knowledge, and Person-Centered Care.
This mini-course with slides and explanations details these competencies in a way thats concise and easy to understand. Sign up to this course to find out how these will affect you as an ADC candidate, and also how they will be implemented.
